Scandinavian Timber. Engineered Performance. Uncompromising Finish.
1. Delivery
Depending on the type of build you have, it will either come as loose timbers, pre-formed panels or a mixture of both.
Our suppliers will crane off the load so we will need to decide the best place to store the materials.
All materials are protected from the rain on delivery until we start the installation.
Other materials such as doors & windows, interior furnishings etc will be timed to come as and when we require then to avoid any damage.
2. It’s all about the base
Some models require a galvanised steel chassis frame, but generally speaking, we construct from 225mm x 45 mm/ 90mm treated timber.
Both bases are 100mm rigid insulated over an OSB bottom tray(to seal the underside). This is finished with a 22mm P5 Kaberfloor.
This easy-peel sub-floor is foam glued and nailed and will repel standing water for upto 12 weeks during construction…perfect for our less than pefect British weather.
3. Timber Frame / Panels
Both types of external wall construction is 140mm x 45mm timber frame, 9mm OSB 3 sheathing to the exterior, Tyvek buld wrap, 25mm x 50mm treated lath for cladding fix and your choice of cladding.
Engineered Glulam beams are used in most constructions.
4. Roofing
Mono roofs have either a Poly coated metal profile or EPDM(rubber roof).
Pitched roof are generally Poly coated metal profile or standing seam.
With some additional engineering, we can also offer sedum living roofs.
5. Exterior finishing
Cladding species as standard are Finnish Redwood, Siberian Larch or North American Cedar.
We can offset the wood with a monoblanco scratch render or a splash of composite trim.
Metal sidings and composite cladding are also available.
Doors & windows are uPVC as standard but we also offer Aluminium systems too.
6. Interior Finishing
Board and plastered walls and ceilings, fibre backer board to wet areas that are to be tiled.
