I needed an annex for my very sprightly and soon to be 80-year-old mother who loves a modern design with clean lines and an open plan feel. After several months of research and deliberation on what would work best for our budget, garden space with very tight access, we decided to go with Stomhaus. This decision based on research with various and similar suppliers, discussions with recent and past clients of Stomhaus, detailed consultation with Steve, company MD. (I need to add that he has the patience of a saint!) Steve’s task was to offer a full start to finish solution that spanned an area of 4.5m x 11m. This to include taking on our thoughts for design and layout and turning these in to a workable and attractive space, overcome limited access to the rear garden, cover planning and ground works, underfloor heating, specific ideas on kitchen, internal and outside lighting, additional heating (to be fair the finished product is so well insulated that additional heating now seems unlikely to be used!),built in wardrobes, decking etc. etc. this list goes on. I am delighted to say that Steve not only delivered but exceeded our expectations, this with the help of his groundworks and installation team. I do have to mention and give huge credit to all the guys that put together my mother’s new home…helpful, professional, proper craftsman with real pride in the product. I was a little fearful of trades being on-site whilst living at the other end of the garden, however each one of thr Stomhaus team were an absolute joy and always had a smile and a positive can-do attitude. To summarise, should you be looking for an individual style build that’s as hassle free as a build can be with good people that care, then I can thoroughly recommend the services of Stomhaus. Beautifully designed and professionally built. We decided that it was time our aging grandma of 93 years to come and live with us and started to look at options for a product that would offer her some independence while allowing us to give support as needed. After much searching, we came across Stomhaus. We loved the design and build of the product and Steve was very helpful and assuring from initial contact. He arranged for us to view a previous build and after talking to his customer we decided to order a 9m x 6m cabin to locate in good proximity to our house. Steve organised everything from the foundations to the full and detailed design and fit out to our specifications along with full compliance for building regulations. Nothing was too much trouble from upgraded heating systems to space saving solutions such as sliding pocket doors and automatic lighting systems, along with the inevitable odd last-minute changes. His team were fantastic with a friendly helpful approach and delivered a fantastic finish. Even during the lockdown Steve kept us well up to date and his team were very respectful of all the procedures to ensure the project was finished safely and in good time as soon as work could resume. I must also thank Steve for his no quibble aftersales support in resolving a few very minor post build issues swiftly. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a beautifully designed and professionally built product.

After doing a lot of research for Cabins I came across Stomhaus. Initial discussions with Steve were open and honest about the design. Due to busy work/life commitments it took me a while to pull the trigger on the build, but Steve was patient and invested a lot of time in sending plans/renderings to share ideas. My building is now complete, and I am very pleased with the result. The Stomhaus Team are all excellent craftsmen and nice people to have on site. Very considerate and tidy. In fact, I am now considering commissioning Stomhaus for another project. I would thoroughly recommend.

From start to finish a great experience; highly recommended to anyone wanting a bespoke designed Annex. Planning is complex in our area, but Steve managed to sort this along with design and building control. The team on site were excellent, very professional and polite. Thanks to all involved.

Perhaps it was not the easiest task to construct a garden annex during a global pandemic but Steve and his team (huge kudos and much appreciation to Damien, Al and Jim) managed to pull it off very successfully. Steve was patient, a good communicator, responsive and obliging throughout the whole process. Not something we have done before so we had many questions and Steve always took the time to explain everything clearly in lay terms. The quality of the build, and the fixtures and fittings, is fantastic and we are very happy with our Grannex. All visitors, friends and neighbours have commented on how lovely it looks. We have been impressed with the professionalism shown by the whole team from start to finish and would not hesitate to recommend Stomhaus.

Today we take possession of our timber framed annex home at the bottom of our daughter’s garden, nicknamed The Nannex by the family. This started with conversations and site visits with Steve, progressed on to groundwork and has been completed by the Stomhaus team. Despite Covid restraints and isolations is has been a smooth and almost problem free experience. The team have been professional, hardworking, reliable and customer service is first class.
